Reflexology Massage

Heal from heel to head

Reflexology is a complementary health treatment where a therapist applies pressure to specific points, usually on the feet (but they can also be on the hands and ears) that correspond to different parts, organs and glands of the body. Although relatively modern in its current form, it is based on ancient therapies developed many thousands of years ago.

The recipient is usually comfortably seated in a relaxed position with bare feet propped up on a special stool. Normally the therapist works on one foot at a time and uses a small amount of lubricant in the form of organic sweet almond oil. Based on holistic massage principles, the aim of reflexology is to put the body into a state of equilibrium and harmony, so it is an ideal form of overall preventive medicine and perfect for treating minor health issues such as digestive problems or stress relief.
